Tubi Malcharzik (they/them) is a performer, project manager and DJ based in Vienna and Hanover. In performances, audio pieces, and outreach projects, they engage with queer memory, the non-binary identity of Upper Silesia, and seemingly impossible duets – both solo (PASKUDNIK, COMEBACK) and in collective works (voice messages about śląsking, Sparks to Uranus).

The works were shown and invited, among others, at the Schwankhalle (Bremen), Hebbel am Ufer (Berlin), LOFFT – DAS THEATER Leipzig, PACT Zollverein (Essen), Pawilon (Poznań), MULTITUDE-Festival (Hannover), Gängeviertel Hamburg, Queer Art Spaces Vienna (Kunsthalle Exnergasse), UNIVERSEN (Schauspiel Hannover), Körber Studio Junge Regie (Hamburg) und beim dotdotdot Festival (Wien).

They consider cultural and artistic mediation, as well as project management, to be an integral part of their practice. In addition to their own artistic work, they conceptualize and organize cultural outreach and mediation projects, actively contributing to the development of concepts, funding applications, and financial administration.
Most recently, they collaborated with Paweł Matusz (a queer and antifascist activist based in Leipzig) on the project Echoes of the East – On Queer Resilience from Białystok to Leipzig, Solidarity Beyond National Borders & Non-Binary Joy, presented at LOFFT – Das Theater Leipzig. The project brought together artists and activists from Poland and Saxony to exchange perspectives on queer resistance in the face of far-right mobilizations, and to explore cross-border solidarity networks.
Previous projects were Push the Buttons (soft spot in cooperation with Faust e.V.), LPV & soft spot: Queer Peripheries, and Blurring Binaries – Silesian Migrant Condition, Fluid Identity & the Politics of Shame, in collaboration with Zofia Nierodzińska (curator and artist), KVOST Berlin, and the German-Polish House.
