in cooperation with D—Arts - Practices of ResistanceThis work in progress remembers the resilience of trans* and non-binary life through imagined impossible encounters. Drawing on the stories of Milo Mazurkiewicz and Marsha P. Johnson, we want to mourn those who came before us while evoking practices of living and persisting in the face of hostility. Together, we walked to the riverbank—a place often marked by solitude in the context of trans* biographies — gesturing toward a site of trans* and non-binary resistance and collectivity.
